UGC NET Passing Marks
UGC NET passing marks means the marks obtained by any candidate under UGC NET and he is considered successful in the respective examination. That is, the candidates who have appeared in the UGC NET examination and if they obtain the minimum qualifying marks, they will be considered as having passed the examination.
Under UGC NET, candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks based on their category, under which different passing marks have been kept for unreserved categories and different passing marks have been fixed for reserved categories.
Passing marks prescribed by UGC NET
To qualify in UGC NET exam conducted by National Testing Agency, all the candidates are required to pass in Paper I and Paper II.
To qualify in the UGC NET exam, unreserved category candidates are required to score a minimum of 40% marks and reserved category candidates are required to score 35% marks to be considered successful.
Conduct of UGC NET exam
If we talk about the UGC NET exam pattern then the UGC NET exam is conducted through two papers for which the time duration is fixed for Paper 1 and Paper 2 of 3 hours.
Apart from this, objective type multiple choice questions are asked from you in both the papers and a total of 150 questions are asked from you in both the papers and each question is of two marks and the total of these two papers is 300 marks.
UGC NET Certificate
All the candidates who qualify the UGC NET exam are provided with a certificate by the National Testing Agency which proves the authenticity of their eligibility.
Along with the certificate, NTA issues JRF letter which also certifies the eligibility of UGC Fellowship through various schemes.
Apart from this, the validity of UGC NET certificate for the post of Assistant Professor is lifelong, however for the post of CRF, after the award letter is received, its validity is only for 3 years.
UGC NET Exam Result
Since the UGC NET exam is currently going on, the UGC NET result will be declared only after the successful conduct of the exam which will be made available online on the official website of UGC NET.
