LPG Free GAS Cylinder
An important step has been taken by the government regarding LPG gas cylinders, which will benefit the beneficiary families of the state. Crores of beneficiaries of the state will benefit from the commendable efforts made by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Till date, free LPG connections have been provided to more than 9 crore families through the PM Ujjwala Yojana and this scheme is being run successfully even at present. Apart from this, the amount of subsidy provided in the scheme has also been increased, which has been told to you in the article.
Uttar Pradesh government announcement
An important announcement was also made by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government, Shri Yogi Adityanath, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the month of November last year, under which he said.
Free LPG gas cylinders will be provided twice in a year to the families receiving benefits under the concerned scheme in the state of Uttar Pradesh and this LPG gas will be available on the festivals of Diwali and Holi.
The Uttar Pradesh government has provided free LPG gas cylinders to the beneficiaries of the state scheme once on the festival of Holi in the month of March. Now after this, when the festival of Diwali comes, free LPG gas cylinders will be provided once again by the state government.
Eligibility for LPG Free Gas Cylinder Scheme
The benefits of this scheme will be available only to those beneficiaries who are registered under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and should also be residents of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, it is mandatory for all beneficiaries to have their Aadhaar card linked to the bank account so that they do not face any hindrance in getting the related benefits.
For the information of all you residents of Uttar Pradesh, let us tell you that till date, the number of beneficiaries of the concerned scheme has reached 2 crores which is providing relief to the poor citizens of the state.
LPG Free Gas Cylinder Scheme launched
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the year 2016, the objective of which was to provide clean fuel to the poor families of the country so that they get help related to cooking.
The aim of this scheme is to free the beneficiary families from the health problems caused by smoke and to provide gas cylinders to all the poor families at low cost.
Central Government Contribution
If we talk about the contribution of the Central Government under the Ujjwala scheme, then the Central Government has a huge contribution in this because earlier the subsidy on gas cylinder was ₹ 200.
It has currently been increased to ₹ 300 and this additional subsidy of Rs 100 has been added only in October 2023.
